Custom Exhaust Fabrication in Clarksville
Designed and built for each vehicle
Bolt-on kits are made to fit thousands of vehicles in roughly the same way. A custom exhaust is made to fit one. Here in Clarksville, our custom exhaust work starts with your vehicle and what you want it to sound like, and then we build the system to match, right down to where the tips sit under the bumper.
That work is led by Donny Nevins, our custom exhaust specialist. Whether you want a deep rumble out of a V8 truck or a crisp, raspy note from a four-cylinder, Donny walks you through the muffler and pipe options that will get you there, then fabricates and fits the system himself. Every build gets the same attention to fitment and finish, and plenty of them end up as photos we’re proud to share.
What We Build
Custom work for trucks, muscle cars, imports, and daily drivers
- Cat-back systems fabricated from the catalytic converter to the tips
- Axle-back and muffler swaps that change the tone without replacing the whole system
- Single to true dual exhaust conversions
- Custom tips sized and placed to fit the look of your build
- Resonator changes and drone tuning for a strong sound that’s still easy to live with on the highway
How a Custom Build Comes Together
From the first conversation to the test drive
- Step 1: Talk Through the SoundIt starts with a conversation with Donny about what you want to hear and see. If you have a video or sound clip of an exhaust you like, bring it. We’ll also look at how you use the vehicle, since a weekend car and a daily commuter often call for different choices.
- Step 2: Plan the SystemDonny measures the vehicle and plans the pipe routing, diameter, and muffler setup that will hit the tone you’re after. We go over material options like stainless and aluminized steel and give you a firm quote before any fabrication starts.
- Step 3: Fabricate and FitThe system is bent, welded, and hung with proper clearance from the frame, suspension, and heat-sensitive parts. Hangers and joints are placed to keep the cabin quiet and the system free of rattles over bumps.
- Step 4: Test and Fine-TuneWe check every joint for leaks, start it up, and take it for a drive to listen for drone at cruising speed. If something needs adjusting, we adjust it before the vehicle goes home.

Why Fabrication Matters
A great sound starts with a well-built system
An exhaust system does more than make noise. It carries hot gases and carbon monoxide away from the cabin, so a leaking joint or a pipe routed too close to the floor is more than a cosmetic problem. Poor fitment shows up in other ways too, from rattles where a pipe touches the frame to a check engine light caused by a damaged oxygen sensor. Smooth bends that hold a consistent pipe diameter matter for both sound and flow. Getting those details right is what separates a build that sounds great for years from one that keeps coming back.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a custom exhaust cost?
It depends on the scope of the build. A muffler or tip change costs far less than a full cat-back system with a dual conversion, and material choice affects the price too. Once Donny looks at your vehicle and you settle on a plan, we give you a firm quote before any work begins.
Will a custom exhaust be too loud for the street?
Tennessee requires every vehicle to have a working muffler, and we build within that. Inside that limit there’s a wide range of sound, from a mild growl to an aggressive note. Donny can help you find a setup that sounds the way you want without drawing the wrong kind of attention.
Will a new exhaust turn on my check engine light?
A cat-back or axle-back system doesn’t touch the oxygen sensors or catalytic converters, so it shouldn’t affect your check engine light. Work closer to the engine can, and we’ll tell you up front if your plan might.
Will an aftermarket exhaust void my factory warranty?
A manufacturer can’t void your whole warranty just because you installed aftermarket parts. They would have to show the part caused the specific problem they’re declining to cover. If your vehicle is still under factory warranty, we’re happy to talk through how a build might affect your coverage.
Should I choose stainless or aluminized steel?
Stainless steel resists rust much longer and keeps its look, which makes it worth the extra cost on a vehicle you plan to keep. Aluminized steel costs less and works well for many builds. Donny will lay out the tradeoff for your vehicle and budget.
How long does a custom exhaust build take?
Simple muffler or tip changes are often finished the same day. A full custom system takes longer depending on the design and parts involved. We’ll give you a realistic timeline when we quote the job.
